Area Overview
Pangrati is an unpretentious neighborhood at the center of Athens. In Pangrati there are a number of Greek cultural centers such as the Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first modern Olympic games, the national museum of contemporary art and Athens’ first cemetery filled with high cypress trees and marble sculptures. The neighborhood is also known for its local Greek delis, indie galleries, local pizzerias, casual tavernas and gourmet restaurants.
North of Pangrati is the luxurious neighborhood of Kolonaki. To the east is the neighborhood of Zografou, home to Athens main universities. Pangrati has a high rental demand due to its central location.
The available public transportation in Pangrati are buses and electric buses. In the future the new yellow metro line will pass through Pangrati and will add great value.
